St. Mary's River Days
In partnership with the Municipality of the District of St. Marys, the Whale Sanctuary, the St. Mary's River Association, and the Sherbrooke Village Historic Development Society, River Days will take place the 2nd weekend of August in 2025!
When: Friday - Sunday, August 8th - 10th
Friday - CHOWDERFEST
- Start the celebration with Victorian Nights! Featuring CHOWDER FEST*, the Village will be flowing with Nautical activities that include fly tying & fly casting demonstrations, birch bark canoe building demonstrations with Todd Labrador, and cardboard boat building outside the Performance Centre

Saturday - Old Time Country Fair & Cardboard Boat Regatta
- 11am - Old Time Country Fair - Taking place in the Performance Centre Field, with a Free BBQ, games, crafts, fly tying demonstrations, information booths, prizes, and much more!
- 2:30pm - Cardboard "GHOSTSHIP" Regatta - Bring your most terrifying cardboard boats down to the Boat Club Wharf between 1:30 and 2:15 for the 2:30 launch! Children and adult categories are: 7 & under, 8-15, and 16 & up. Prizes for best design, best sport, and fastest time will be awarded. Costumes are encouraged! And for the nautically challenged, there just might be an extra prize for most terrifying scuttle.. We don't want to scare you with the details though!
- Registration is FREE and can be done the day of the regatta, but why wait! Call 902-522-2400 today to make your spooky splash. Definitely plan on bringing:

----- 2.) Life Vests
----- 3.) Something to paddle with.
Sunday - Boat Rally Poker Run
- 11:30-12:30- Registration & Launch for the return of the River Days Boat Rally Poker Run. There will be TWO checkpoints to stop and gather your cards. Launch from the boat club's Sherbrooke Village Wharf and head to Sonora Harbour before your return trip to the wharf once again.
- $10 per hand. Buy as many hands as you'd like.
- For those that would love to participate but don't have a capable boat, no problem! All checkpoints are fully accessible by land.
- Cash Prizes (% of total draw) will be awarded to the top three hands!
- All boats must be finished with their run by 4pm.

Harvest Celebration
Everyone's favourite Victorian Country Fair returns to Sherbrooke Village with special guests, fun fair games, demonstrations and culinary experiences.

Saturday - Victorian Country Fair, demonstrations and pie contest
- 9:30am to 5pm - take part in historic fair games throughout the Village to collect tickets you can redeem for prizes at the Visitor Reception Centre. Sign up for games and contests in Centre Field or take in a demonstration with our Gardeners or Farmers. Full activity list and schedule to be announced.
