Hours & Admissions

Opening June 5th, 2025 for the season.

A visit to Historic Sherbrooke Village offers a rich and immersive experience that typically spans half a day. Visitors often enjoy exploring the village for several hours, with time to pause for a light meal or delve deeper into activities like workshops or seasonal events.

Discover 25 original buildings nestled along the St. Mary’s River, each offering a window into life before the 1900s. Watch history come to life as costumed interpreters share tales of the past. See sparks fly in the blacksmith’s forge or watch the weaver’s skilled hands dance across the loom, all while you soak in the charm of this unique village.

Explore the Village through self-guided access with General Admission, book a Guided Tour or journey back in time with our Explorer Experience. We also offer a selection of full-day Workshops with our artisans and season passes!

Open seasonally Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Passes

With activities and events all summer long, it's difficult to take it all in. Consider a season pass to explore and enjoy Sherbrooke Village or the Nova Scotia Museum all season long. Passes can be purchased online or in-person at the Museum.

Capture your visit

Commit your visit to glass at our Ambrotype Studio and leave with a one-of-kind souvenir to remember your visit. Whether you're one person or a group, our Ambrotype Photographers will help dress the part and pose for your portrait.

Ambrotype photographs take between 15-30 minutes and can be booked in advance or at the Village.

Or, why not stay a little longer...

Worried you won't get to experience it all? Consider booking one of our artisan workshops and be an apprentice for the day. Under the expert tutelage of our artisans, you'll learn the tools of the trade in addition to creating a work of art or family heirloom.

Workshops are 6-hours long and have a limited capacity. They must be booked 48-hours ahead of time. Please review the workshop information carefully before booking.
