THE SHERBROOKE PLATE BAKING COMPETITION

Bring your best recipe and a little friendly competition to the Sherbrooke Plate Baking Competition, a delicious Harvest Celebration tradition at Sherbrooke Village!

Bakers from near and far are invited to showcase their favourite creations as judges and visitors sample the flavours, creativity, and craftsmanship behind each entry. From professional bakers to home kitchens, every recipe tells a story — and everyone gets a chance to join in the fun with the People’s Choice tasting.

With past champions including local favourites like Beanie’s Bistro and the Sherbrooke Village Inn, the competition is a showcase of the incredible baking talent found throughout our community. Celebrate the end-of-summer harvest with sweet treats, community spirit, and the chance to take home the coveted SHERBROOKE PLATE!

84th Regiment of Foot - Encampment
All Weekend 

Step back in time and experience life with the 84th Regiment of Foot as they return to Sherbrooke Village for a weekend of living history!

Throughout the Harvest Celebration, visitors can explore the regiment’s encampment, where soldiers pitch their tents, prepare meals over an open fire, and share stories of military life in the 18th century. Watch demonstrations of historic cooking, hear the thunder of cannon fire and muskets, and discover the role this regiment played in Nova Scotia’s history.

With immersive demonstrations, engaging conversations, and the sights and sounds of a historic military camp, the 84th Regiment of Foot brings the past to life for visitors of all ages.
